Dennys selects Swansea for first UK restaurant
US diner chain Denny’s is set to open its first UK restaurant at a site in Swansea.Property developer and investor Hammerson has agreed a deal with the company for space at Parc Tawe in Swansea. The 4,000 sq ft restaurant will open at the end of 2017.The retail and leisure park is currently undergoing a £15m redevelopment. When complete it will feature 200,000 sq ft of new shops and restaurants, alongside the retained Odeon cinema, Tenpin bowling alley, new format Toys R Us, Mothercare, Office Outlet and a Plantasia leisure hot house attraction.Denny’s was founded in 1953 and currently has more than 1,700 restaurants worldwide.
